(5) an individual resident in an EEA state that permits the authorisation of natural persons as professional clients and qualified investors, who specifically requests to be treated as a professional client and a qualifying investor, and who meets at least two of the following criteria: (i) has completed significant transactions in the securities markets in the previous four quarters prior to the application with an average frequency of at least 10 transactions per quarter; (ii) his/her portfolio of financial instruments, defined as including cash deposits and financial instruments, exceeds EUR 500,000; (iii) has been working or has worked for at least one year in the financial sector in a professional position requiring knowledge of investing in securities.
