Pieter Houlleberghs is a Managing Director and Investment Committee member at Decarbonization Partners. In this role, Pieter leads investment sourcing, underwriting, execution and portfolio management.

Pieter currently serves on the board of Monolith (clean Hydrogen and materials), Carbon Direct (carbon management services) and Guidewheel (factory operations software).

Prior to Decarb Partners, Pieter led Temasek’s energy transition and circular economy growth investment activity in the Americas. Pieter has 18 years of investment experience in the global energy and materials sectors. He has been responsible for originating and executing public and private investments across the capital structure and engaging with portfolio companies to achieve attractive investment return outcomes. Pieter has also held senior investment banking roles covering the energy and resources sector with UBS, Rothschild and Barclays in London and Sydney.

Pieter holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering (MEng) from Imperial College London with First Class Honours and a Masters in Industrial Design from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon.
